Summary

Martha brings a storyteller’s instinct to some of the most technical and fast‑moving areas of consumer litigation. She focuses her practice on defending companies in class actions, with particular depth in matters arising under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

Centering her practice on TCPA litigation, Martha represents clients across a range of industries in class actions, individual lawsuits, and arbitrations. She also regularly advises companies on TCPA compliance, helping them navigate text message marketing, do‑not‑call rules, autodialed calls, prerecorded messages, and fax marketing as dictated by the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) Messaging Principles and Best Practices.

In addition to her TCPA work, Martha has a deep background in data privacy and cybersecurity. With background as both a law firm attorney and in-house counsel, she assists clients in matters such as new product development, contract negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, data sharing and retention, policy drafting and implementation, data breaches, and consumer class action litigation. Martha also represents clients in sports arbitrations and special education matters.

Martha has a passion for litigation, particularly the strategy and narrative-building that come with motion practice and trial preparation. A published novelist, she approaches advocacy with a writer’s eye, crafting clear, compelling arguments that resonate with courts and clients. That creativity, combined with deep technical knowledge, allows Martha to translate complex regulatory issues into understandable, effective legal strategies.

At the end of the day, Martha helps clients manage risk, tell their side of the story, and move forward with confidence.
