
Summary
Maria is an associate in Taft’s Chicago office and deals with a wide variety of commercial litigation matters.
She brings an expansive breadth of experience to her practice, informed by multiple internships and externships at the state and federal level. Most recently, Maria worked as an extern to the Hon. M. David Weisman, Magistrate Judge, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She was also a Dunn Fellow for the Illinois Governor’s General Counsel and an intern to the Hon. Illinois Supreme Court Justice Rita Garman.
Maria earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law and her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Notre Dame. While in law school, Maria served as an Articles Editor for the Illinois Law Review and was a summer associate at Taft.
