Summary

Zach Gordon is a partner in Taft’s Indianapolis office where he is a member of the Intellectual Property and Business practice groups.

Zach’s practice focuses on the representation of companies of all sizes, from large multi-national corporations to closely-held and family-owned businesses. Zach represents his clients in complex M&A transactions as well as with respect to commercial contracts and general operations. Zach acts as outside general counsel to many of his clients, and his practice regularly includes assisting clients with contract drafting, negotiation, licensing, and regulatory and statutory compliance matters.

Zach’s intellectual property prosecution practice includes trademark and copyright matters in the United States and abroad, as well as acting as intellectual property subject matter specialist in complex transactions. In addition to his prosecution practice, Zach also provides consultation and assistance related to licensing matters and advertising compliance.

Prior to joining Taft, Zach was an associate with Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione in Chicago. He served as a Post Graduate Judicial Intern for Chief Judge James Holderman – N.D. Illinois prior to that.

Zach received his B.A. from Southern Methodist University in 2005 and his J.D. from the Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law in 2009.
