Summary

Luke is an associate in Taft’s Minneapolis office and focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital transactions and corporate governance. Luke has experience advising both venture capital funds and emerging growth companies in every stage of the venture capital financing process, as well as the legal issues encountered throughout the life cycle of a business, including corporate structuring, capital formation, acquisitions, divestitures, and corporate governance.

Prior to joining Taft, Luke was a corporate attorney with a well-known regional firm in Minneapolis where he focused his practice on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital transactions, general corporate law, and startup and emerging companies.

Luke earned his J.D. from the University of St. Thomas School of Law, cum laude, and his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Harvard University. While in law school, Luke was a judicial extern to the Honorable David Knutson, First Judicial Court in Hastings, Minnesota. Before entering the legal profession, Luke played professional hockey in the Boston Bruins and Ottawa Senators minor league organizations.
