Kate Wright

Summary

Kate is an associate in Taft’s Minneapolis office and advises clients on a variety of lending and finance matters. She is experienced in representing alternative lenders, borrowers and financial sponsors in a broad range of finance transactions including acquisition financings, first and second lien secured loans, term and revolving loan facilities, liability management transactions, securitizations and other general corporate financings.

Prior to joining the firm, Kate worked as an extern at the City Attorney’s Office for the city of New Orleans, as a judicial extern to the Hon. Sarah Vance, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana and as a finance associate for a well-known nationwide firm.

Kate earned her J.D., magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from Tulane University Law School and her bachelor’s degree in French studies from the University of Minnesota. While in law school, Kate served as a Managing Editor for the Tulane Law Review.
