Jorgen M. Lervick

Jorgen Lervick is an associate at Taft who focuses her practice on business law primarily in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law, private equity, and securities regulation. She also counsels and assists clients in achieving their business goals through entity formation and reorganization, contract drafting and reviewing, drafting operating agreements/bylaws and other organizational documents, buy-sell agreements, and general corporate matters.

Jorgen earned her joint Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota Law School and Carlson School of Management. During Law School, Jorgen was a Managing Editor for the Minnesota Law Review and served as a Student Attorney at the University of Minnesota Business Law Clinic where she assisted local entrepreneurs with entity formation, operating agreements, and various contracts relating to their businesses. During her time in Business School, Jorgen acted as a Student Consultant at the Carlson Consulting Enterprise, a professionally run consultancy that assists clients in identifying, analyzing, and implementing opportunities for business process improvement and strategic change.  She earned her bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, quadruple majoring in French, Government & International Affairs, History, and International Studies from Augustana College (now Augustana University) in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Prior to joining Taft, Jorgen worked as an associate at a regional law firm and as a law clerk for two Fortune 500 agriculture companies in the Twin Cities.  Prior to law school, Jorgen worked as a paralegal for a multinational law firm in Washington, D.C.
