
Summary
Jennifer has over 25 years of experience in litigation. Her practice focuses primarily on general civil litigation and complex commercial litigation. She has represented individuals and corporate entities in complex commercial litigation, business disputes, and general civil litigation matters from inception through appeal. Her experience includes representing individuals and businesses in federal and state courts in a variety of business matters, such as contract claims, restrictive covenants, business transaction disputes and torts, and class action, derivative and multi-party litigation. She is a dedicated advocate who provides clients with great attention to detail, critical analysis, and creative strategies.
Jennifer earned her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law and her bachelor’s degree in fine arts, magna cum laude, from Florida International University/New World School of the Arts. Jennifer’s talent in trial advocacy was first recognized in law school where she was one of the few selected to participate in mock trial competitions on Stetson’s nationally recognized trial team. She was also recognized as best oral advocate in her moot court presentation. During law school, Jennifer also served as a certified legal intern with the State Attorney’s Office where she participated in criminal trials and worked as a law clerk for a well-known civil firm.
She began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney with the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit of Florida. Jennifer had in excess of 30 jury trials while working as an Assistant State Attorney. Jennifer then gained valuable experience as a civil litigator working in areas of business disputes, personal injury and insurance matters, products’ liability, trust litigation, and other commercial litigation matters.
Prior to law school, Jennifer was a classically trained ballet dancer. She was the recipient of several awards and scholarships in her pursuit and performances in the arts including at Indiana University and the Juilliard School. She performed in New York City and was selected to travel to Seville, Spain where she performed with the Metropolitan Opera Company.
Jennifer has served as a mentor to young aspiring lawyers with Stetson’s mentorship program and the local bar association. She frequently participates as a judge in local mock trial competitions. She also mentors young aspiring artists as a guest artist at the local performing arts high school.
