Jacob focuses his practice on domestic relations, estate planning, probate administration and trust administration. He provides counsel to individuals, families, small businesses and tax-exempt organizations.
Prior to joining Taft, Jacob owned his own law firm and practiced in the areas of domestic relations and estate planning, as well as juvenile, probate and general litigation. He appeared in Franklin, Hamilton, Delaware, Madison, Licking, Fairfield, Greene, Clarke, Richland, Fayette and Brown Counties.
Jacob earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Capital University Law School. He was Order of the Curia and received the Dean's Excellence Award and Scholarship and the CALI Awards for Excellence in Law and Religion, Real Estate Finance and Rules of Civil Procedure. While in law school, Jacob served as a law clerk for the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation. During his undergrad studies, he served as an intern for The Ohio State Bar Foundation and the Ohio Jury Management Association. At The Ohio State University, he was a member of the Humanities Scholars Program and the Phi Alpha Theta, National History Honor Society, Zeta Chapter. Jacob also studied abroad in the Paris program.
