Summary

Jackson is an experienced litigation attorney in Taft’s Cleveland office. He focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, investigations, white collar defense, and the False Claims Act. Prior to joining Taft, Jackson was an assistant U.S. attorney with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio. As an AUSA, he secured a $101 million settlement from Rite Aid Corporation to resolve allegations of fraud against the Medicare Part D program, which earned him a 2025 special commendation award from senior U.S. Department of Justice leadership and the 2024 Excellence in Civil Advocacy award from the U.S Attorney’s Office. His work also focused on health care and grant fraud litigation, the enforcement of environmental statutes, and civil rights cases.

Before joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Jackson was a litigation associate with Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York and Washington, D.C., where he handled employment law, securities litigation, complex commercial disputes, and government investigations initiated by federal agencies.

He served as a federal judicial law clerk to the Hon. James Gwin in the Northern District of Ohio. In 2025, Judge Gwin selected Jackson to be his Honor’s delegate to the Sixth Circuit Judicial Conference. His career began as a fourth-grade teacher with Teach for America in Chicago, Illinois.

Jackson earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Ohio State Law Journal. He holds a bachelor’s degree in social policy and political science from Northwestern University.

Jackson is licensed to practice law in New York and Washington D.C. only. He is certified to practice pending admission in Ohio.
