Summary

As Compliance Counsel for Taft, Halle is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the firm’s operational compliance program structure.  This includes efforts to ensure firm compliance with increasingly robust client contractual requirements outlined in Outside Counsel Guidelines and other client-required agreements; developing tools to comply with operational laws and regulations; and working with the firm’s vendors to ensure their compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and firm policies.

Halle has more than 25 years of experience in compliance, legal disputes, and human resources. Prior to joining Taft, Halle served as Director of Special Assets & Collections for SMS Financial, LLC, a privately held investment firm specializing in the acquisition and servicing of commercial and consumer whole loans. She also served as a Senior Vice President with Value Recovery Group, Inc., a full-service commercial receivables company that specializes in distressed assets, real estate, and workouts.

Halle earned her J.D. from the Cleveland State University College of Law and her bachelor’s degree in English literature and political science from Hiram College.
