Summary
Evan Deig is an associate in Taft’s Indianapolis office, where he focuses on employee benefits, executive compensation, and tax matters. He helps clients in designing, implementing, and managing a variety of benefit plans, including tax-qualified retirement plans, employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), and non-qualified deferred compensation arrangements. In addition to providing advisory services, Evan ensures compliance with important regulatory frameworks such as the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), the Internal Revenue Code, the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA), and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). He also offers guidance on health and welfare plans, which include group health plans, Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), and cafeteria plans.
Evan earned his J.D, summa cum laude, from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and his bachelor’s degree in history, magna cum laude, from Franklin College.
