Dhohyung (DK) Kim, Ph.D.

Dr. Dhohyung Kim (DK) is a USPTO-registered patent attorney focusing on intellectual property procurement and portfolio management. With a background in immunology and virology, he prepares and prosecutes patent applications in pharmaceuticals, biologics, and medical devices.

DK provides strategic IP counseling, due diligence, and opinions on patentability, validity, non-infringement, and freedom-to-operate. He also has experience in litigation, including pre-litigation analysis, discovery coordination, pleadings, and case management.

Before his legal career, DK conducted postdoctoral research on HIV/AIDS at Harvard Medical School and studied vaccine-induced B cell responses as a graduate student. He earned his J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, a Ph.D. in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology from The Ohio State University, and a bachelor’s degree in genetic engineering from Sungkyunkwan University.

DK is licensed to practice law in New York and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
