He has served in prominent positions for the New Mexico Association of Commerce and Industry (now the New Mexico Chamber of Commerce), New Mexico First, the Enchantment Land Certified Development Company (now Elevated Lending CDC), the New Mexico Hospital Equipment Loan Council, and the New Mexico chapter of the Anti-Defamation League. Additionally, David has been appointed as a board member by several local organizations.
