Summary
David is an attorney in Taft’s Minneapolis office. His practice sits at the intersection of commercial litigation, antitrust, and employment law.
David assists companies—both plaintiffs and defendants—in identifying the facts and crafting the arguments necessary to win high-stakes disputes. His passion for business makes him an indispensable advocate across a wide range of industries.
Prior to joining Taft, David gained valuable experience as a legal intern at the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, where he focused on litigation strategies, drafting sub-regulatory guidance and analyzing discrimination charges as well as a proposed merger. He was also the recipient of a fellowship from the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Law Section.
David leverages his writing, editing and public speaking skills to advance clients’ interests. He honed his research and writing abilities as a nonfiction book editor and award-winning investigative journalist. Books edited by David achieved best-seller status, were recognized with numerous literary prizes, and have been praised by The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, National Public Radio and other outlets. His writing has appeared in a variety of major regional and national publications.
David earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he served as Managing Editor for the Minnesota Law Review the Student Director for the Gun Violence Prevention Clinic. He holds a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, in English Literature from Washington University.
