Summary

Chelsey is an associate in Taft’s Minneapolis office and primarily focuses her practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and emerging companies and general corporate law. She counsels businesses on legal issues encountered throughout their life cycles, including corporate structuring and entity formation, corporate governance, contract negotiation, corporate finance and merger and acquisition transactions.

Prior to joining Taft, Chelsey was an associate with a well-known regional firm in Minneapolis where she focused her practice on mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law and startup and emerging growth companies.

Chelsey earned her J.D. from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law and bachelor’s degrees in accounting and finance from the University of North Dakota. Prior to starting law school, Chelsey was a Certified Public Accountant and has experience working in tax in public accounting.
