Summary
Ann is an attorney in Taft’s nationally recognized Private Client group. She focuses her practice on transfer tax, estate planning, and administration for domestic and international clients.
Ann works with clients, their families, and their advisors on the transition of wealth over multiple generations in a manner that protects family members but also encourages them to continue the family legacy. Ann advises on all aspects of domestic and international estate planning including: the creation of wills and trusts for multinational families; estate and gift tax issues that arise with the ownership of cross-border property; and advising fiduciaries on estate administration, including filings with the IRS to request estate tax clearance via a Transfer Certificate.
A distinguished practitioner in her field, Ann is certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law. Before joining Taft, she was a partner and chair of the International Estate Planning group at a regional law firm based in Cincinnati.
Ann earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. She received her M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science and her B.S. from DePauw University.
