Andrea is a Conflicts Attorney in Taft’s Chicago office and reviews and clears conflicts for new hires, including partners, associates, and business professionals.
Prior to joining Taft, Andrea was a conflicts attorney for a well-known national firm and managed a team of conflict analysts responsible for business intake and conflicts review across markets. She also has experience as a litigation attorney. Her practice spanned all phases of the litigation process, including motion practice with oral argument, propounding and responding to discovery requests, taking and defending discovery depositions, settlement conferences, and trial preparation.
Additionally, Andrea served as Assistant General Counsel for the Board of Education for the city of Chicago and represented Chicago Public Schools (CPS) in state and municipal litigation. Andrea also worked as an Assistant Public Defender in the Missouri State Public Defender’s Office and handled over 450 cases during her tenure.
Andrea earned her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law and her bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from William Jewell University. While in law school, Andrea was Co-President and publicist of the Women Law Students’ Association and was a Theodore E. McMillan Inns of Court member.
