Summary

Amy Hanson serves as a Senior Strategic and External Advisor. She is actively involved in advisory and board roles for several companies, leveraging her broad portfolio of retail, finance, consumer credit and technology senior leadership. Her work includes advice and counsel to senior leadership on retail and real estate strategy, Omni channel consumer insight and services, technology and M&A work on private label credit strategy.

Amy is retired from Macy’s, Inc. where she had a significant track record in leadership and growth of the $7 billion assets in the credit business for Macy’s, Omni channel call center management, loyalty program development, and technology strategy development for consumer services. She also led the store planning, design and construction team (SPACE) for Macy’s and real estate in her career progression. Amy has been very active in the payment space, leading Macy’s strategies in payment acceptance, including mobile wallets. Her experiences at Macy’s also included the lead role in the Macy’s transitions, including the 2009 nationwide integration to its current unified structure. 

Post her retirement from Macy’s in April 2016, she joined the board of Messer, Inc., one of Cincinnati’s largest privately held companies, and is active in the technology sector as an advisor. She also is active in providing consulting work for clients including, Signet Jewelers, LTD, Westfield Retail Services, National Retail Federation, and various private equity firms on private label consumer credit, retail and omni channel strategy, retail real estate strategy, and consumer behavior.
