Summary

Amy brings more than 20 years of federal and state litigation experience to Taft’s litigation group. She focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation matters.

She previously served as a law clerk for Judge George C. Smith, Judge Gregory L. Frost, and Judge Sarah D. Morrison of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Amy also served as a Staff Attorney to a trial and appellate judge in some of Ohio’s busiest courts. Through those positions, she obtained a thorough understanding of a wide variety of legal issues.

Additionally, Amy was an Assistant Attorney General focused on administrative law. In that role, she advocated before administrative, trial, and appellate bodies.

Amy’s private sector experience includes working at two different law firms as a litigator. She appeared before judges in 63 of Ohio’s 88 counties while representing the clients of those firms.

She was on law review at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Amy graduated summa cum laude from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
