Summary

Akshita mainly focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, securities regulatory work, and general corporate matters. She works with public and private companies on a range of corporate matters. She helps clients navigate complex transactions, disclosure obligations, and ongoing corporate matters with a practical, business-minded approach.

Akshita also has experience in the cannabis industry. Previously, she worked as an industry group coordinator for the Cannabis group of a large international law firm. She has also assisted with state applications for medical and recreational cannabis dispensary, processing, and cultivation licenses, and with compliance and regulatory research for medical and recreational cannabis matters in various states.

Akshita earned her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2020 and her bachelor’s degree in government and business from the University of Texas at Austin in 2016.
