Summary

Aimee focuses her practice on domestic relations. Aimee helps people through one of the most difficult times in their lives by giving compassionate, practical advice and working to solve problems, and by the efficient use of attorney fees. She can be very tough if and when necessary, but she is conscious that a client may have an ongoing relationship with an ex-spouse for the rest of their lives, in which case the relationship needs to be preserved as much as possible.

Aimee is certified by The Family Relations Law Specialty Board of the Ohio State Bar Association as a specialist in the field of Family Relations Law in Ohio. She is also a fellow of the prestigious American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Aimee graduated from Cornell University with Distinction in 1988 and earned her law degree from Cornell Law School in 1993 with a concentration in advocacy. She has practiced solely domestic relations law since 1994. Aimee has been with Taft since 1999.

Aimee is listed in Best Lawyers in America®  (family law and family law arbitration) and selected for inclusion in Ohio Super Lawyers, compiled by Law & Politics magazine, every year that it has been published. In addition, she received the 2015 “Top 10 Attorney Award for the state of Ohio” from the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys (NAFLA), she was selected as a “Member of the Nation’s Top One Percent” by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel (NADC), she was nominated as one of the “10 Best Family Law Attorneys for Client Satisfaction in Ohio” by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys (AIOFLA), and she was listed in the Global Directory of Who’s Who. Aimee is BV Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Aimee has spoken for the National Business Institute (NBI) on spousal support and divorce, she has presented at the Cincinnati Bar Association (CBA) Domestic Relations Seminar, and she was the domestic relations speaker for the CBA’s seminar for new bar admittees for years. In addition, Aimee has spoken at local divorce information seminars about an attorney’s role in the divorce process and to the Tri-State Business Valuation Round Table on business valuations in divorce. She is admitted to practice law in the state of Ohio and in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
