Summary

Aaron is an attorney in Taft’s Detroit office, who focuses on domestic relations and matrimonial law. With a background in commercial litigation, he brings extensive experience in handling confidential and sensitive matters, such as high-asset divorces, preparation of pre-marital and post-marital agreements, child and spousal support matters, and enforcement actions.

Aaron maintains a focus on obtaining favorable results through private settlement, while at the same time being prepared to fully litigate the matter through trial. He represents a diverse clientele, including corporate executives, business owners, physicians, financial advisors, accountants, teachers, attorneys, and their partners. Aaron takes a practical approach to understand each client’s goals and individual nuances. He works closely with his clients to craft and implement personally tailored legal strategies, to reach optimal outcomes, while minimizing the emotional toll on his clients’ families, especially children.

Aaron’s commercial litigation experience is particularly valuable in assessing complex assets, a crucial aspect of high-net-worth domestic relations cases. He excels in providing comprehensive analysis of all assets involved, including marital and non-marital property, real estate, business interests, investments, misappropriated funds, international assets, and valuable personal collections. In addition to his legal practice, Aaron presents and speaks about domestic relations work to client, legal, and industry groups.

Aaron began his career at national AmLaw 100 and AmLaw 200 law firms, litigating high-exposure cases. Immediately prior to joining Taft, he practiced at a premier boutique matrimonial law firm, focusing on complex high-net-worth and high-profile family law cases.

He earned his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law, where he received a certificate from The Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute. Aaron also served as a Student Law Clerk for the Hon. Rosemarie E. Aquilina at the 30th Circuit Court in Ingham County, Michigan. He graduated with highest honors from Madonna University with a bachelor’s degree, majoring in paralegal studies.
