Executive Order 14179: Removing Barriers to American Leadership in Artificial Intelligence
The EO revokes the Biden administration’s Executive Order on Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence (EO 14110) and promotes development of AI systems that are free from ideological bias or engineered social agendas.
Regarding immigration, EO 14110 recommended policies to facilitate access to certain visa options for foreign nationals with AI expertise. As such, its revocation has implications for U.S. businesses that employ foreign nationals.
