Taft Minneapolis Partner-in-Charge Justin Weinberg was recently included on the cover feature of Attorney at Law Magazine. The July 2021 issue included an exclusive six-page article about Weinberg and the Taft Minneapolis office. It detailed Weinberg's new role as partner-in-charge, Taft Minneapolis' commitment to being a modern, diverse law firm, the recent office renovation, and Taft's role in revitalizing downtown Minneapolis. The firm also highlights Taft Minneapolis' recent lateral hire, Nicole Hittner - a prominent business attorney, named “Top Woman in Finance” by Finance & Commerce.
“Since the merger, we have continued to reinvent ourselves, harnessing that forward-looking view of what we need to do to best serve our clients. We are a firm with a tradition of deep roots in the community. We are incredibly energized and looking forward to tackling the problems of tomorrow,” said Weinberg.

Weinberg serves as partner-in-charge of Taft Minneapolis and as outside general counsel to a variety of clients and industries; however, the majority of his work arises from real estate development and construction. In addition, he serves many clients in the areas of liquor licensing, regulatory issues, and hospitality. During the last recession, Weinberg shifted his focus to representing banks and institutional lenders in workouts, lender liability, and foreclosures – a practice Weinberg continues to maintain.
Hittner is a partner at Taft where she focuses her practice on business law. She focuses on mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures for her clients and also provides ongoing counseling to companies on complex legal matters. Hittner has the ability to provide a unique perspective, incisive problem-solving, and practical advice. Her experience as a certified public accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers prior to entering the legal field adds a business lens her clients appreciate.
