Thompson to Present at NEO ACC Seminar
Taft partner Adrian D. Thompson, co-chair of Taft’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, will be a co-presenter at a seminar created for members of the Northeast Ohio Association of Corporate Counsel (NEO ACC). His interactive presentation, “Unconscious Bias in the Workplace,” will cover how biases inherent in everyone affect how we think, work and lead. Attendees will learn ways to interrupt their unconscious biases and create corporate cultures that are diverse and inclusive, thereby positively affecting recruiting, retention and client satisfaction.
The second half of the seminar, presented by attorneys from Fisher Phillips, will be devoted to the topic “Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives: How to Avoid Creating Liability When Asking Employees to Dance.”
The seminar will be held on Thurs., Dec. 14 from 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Conference Room at 200 Public Square, Cleveland, Ohio. It will award 3.0 CLE hours and is free to ACC members, law students and faculty. The non-member fee is $40 to attend. For more information, please contact the NEO ACC chapter.
