Thompson Quoted in Chicago Lawyer “Maintaining Diversity” Article

Adrian D. Thompson, Taft Chief Diversity Officer and co-partner-in-charge of Taft’s Cleveland office, was one of four law firm diversity partners providing insights to the July 2020 Chicago Lawyer magazine article, “When there’s no going back: Maintaining diversity in the coronavirus era.”

Thompson referenced the racial unrest caused by George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis, where Taft opened an office this January, following the combination with Briggs and Morgan. Thompson emphasized that in addition to diversity, inclusion is an important component of the guiding principles at Taft. In spite of the pandemic, Thompson mentioned it was critical to maintain the firm’s summer associate programs this year, of which 44% of the selected associates were people of color and 58% were women.
