Thomas Elected Columbus Bar Association President for 2022-2023
Taft Columbus partner David Thomas has been elected to serve as the 2022-23 president of the Columbus Bar Association (CBA). He was sworn in at the CBA Annual Meeting on Thursday, June 9. Thomas has held many leadership positions with the CBA over the last 15 years, including membership on the Board of Governors, and Secretary/Treasurer.
“I believe that continued growth and strength in our legal community is a positive reflection on Columbus and the diverse members of the public that we serve. My goal is to build on the hard work and example of the many great leaders who preceded me as we make this the best metropolitan bar in the country,” said Thomas.
The CBA is a diverse community of nearly 5,000 central Ohio legal professionals. Founded in 1869, the association is led by a Board of Governors that oversees the activities of its various committees and staff. The CBA strives to be the leader in providing excellent, innovative, and cost-effective services to members of the legal profession and the general public in central Ohio.
Thomas is a partner in Taft’s Corporate Compliance and White Collar Criminal Defense practice group. He advises and represents companies, executives, public officials, health care providers, and other professionals who are the subject of state and federal investigations and prosecutions.
