Taft Welcomes Two Associates in Chicago

Taft is pleased to announce that Cody L. Carroll and Adam W. Decker have joined Taft’s Chicago office in the Business & Finance and Litigation practice groups.

Carroll focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance in addition to general business law. She earned her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and a bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University. Carroll previously served as a summer associate at a global law firm and a student attorney for the Kirkland & Ellis Corporate Lab through the University of Chicago Law School. She also served as a student attorney for the Innovation Clinic at the University of Chicago.

Decker assists clients in resolving a wide range of business disputes in federal and state court. A former Taft summer associate, Decker earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he received certificates in corporate and transactional law and taxation. Decker was awarded the Hugh L. Dick Award for Excellence, having achieved the top grade point average in Loyola’s tax program. While in law school, Decker was a student article editor for the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal and a member of the 2019 Andrews Hunton Kurth Moot Court National Championship team. He also served as a judicial extern for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
