Taft Jumps Five Spots on the NLJ 500
Taft has jumped five spots to 103 on the 2019 edition of the National Law Journal (NLJ) 500—an annual survey that ranks the largest 500 firms in the United States. With a firm-wide focus on growth, Taft has added 36 attorneys since last year’s NLJ rankings were released. Taft’s one-class partnership structure—adopted to provide more leadership opportunities for women, lawyers of color and younger attorneys at Taft—also lands the firm in the top 25 in the number of equity partners category.
In 2018, Taft was ranked 108 on the NLJ 500 and debuted in the rankings at 110 in 2017. The firm was also highlighted in 2017 in the article, “4 Law Firms to Note on the NLJ 500” for being a “super high-quality Midwestern firm” and having a decentralized management style, with no office labeled as the firm’s headquarters.
