Taft Indianapolis Welcomes Rogers as New Associate
Taft is pleased to welcome Whitney L. Rogers to the firm’s Public Finance group as an associate in its Indianapolis office.
Rogers’ experience includes municipal finance law, including serving as bond counsel, underwriters’ counsel, and disclosure counsel on tax-exempt financings. She also counsels clients on state law issues surrounding referenda and the petition-remonstrance process. In addition to serving as bond counsel, Rogers’ practice focuses on structured financings involving the use of tax incentives including New Markets Tax Credits and Low Income Housing Tax Credits. She also has experience defending product liability and professional liability matters.
Rogers received her law degree, graduating cum laude, from Indiana University McKinney School of Law where she served as the academic affairs chair for the Black Law Student Association. She earned her undergraduate degree from Purdue University. In 2020, The National Black Lawyers recognized Rogers in its annual Top 40 Under 40 in Indiana list. She is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, the National Association of Bond Lawyers, and Women in Public Finance.
