Taft, one of the fastest-growing law firms in the nation, welcomes Thomas M. Hanahan as a partner in the firm’s Real Estate practice group in the Indianapolis office.

Hanahan primarily focuses on commercial real estate development and project finance matters. He has significant experience representing developers and investors in the acquisition, development, and disposition of commercial real estate projects and representing lenders on construction and permanent loans and loan workouts. Additionally, he is experienced with all major real estate asset classes, and his practice has been national in scope, involving projects in over half of the states in the U.S.

Hanahan is a graduate of Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and the University of Notre Dame.

Through a series of strategic mergers along with significant organic growth, Taft has more than 1,050 attorneys spanning from the Mountain West region to Washington, D.C. In addition to its merger with Sherman & Howard, effective Jan. 1, 2025, the firm will expand into Florida and the Southeast through a merger with the Mrachek Law Firm, a litigation boutique based in West Palm Beach and Stuart, effective June 30, 2025.
