Taft Expands Southwest Presence with Albuquerque Office Relocation

Taft, one of the nation’s fastest-growing law firms, has officially opened its relocated Albuquerque office, advancing the firm’s strategic expansion across the Southwest and reinforcing its long-term investment in New Mexico.

Taft occupies approximately 6,950 square feet on the sixth floor of One Park Square, a prominent Class A office building in the heart of Uptown, one of Albuquerque’s leading business, retail, and dining districts. The firm partnered with arcLINE Architectural Design LLC and DPC Construction Ltd. Co. to create a thoughtfully designed space featuring full-height glass office fronts that preserve views of the Sandia Mountains and allow for an abundance of natural light throughout.

Other highlights of the office and its surroundings include:

  • Employee café, providing attorneys and staff with a comfortable, alternative place to work
  • Inviting reception area with an architectural wood feature
  • Walkable campus with central courtyard and outdoor seating
  • Designed by internationally renowned architecture firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill
  • On-site dining, retail, and urban food market

“Opening our new Albuquerque office is a natural next step in Taft’s continued growth across the Southwest,” said Craig Morgan, partner-in-charge of Taft’s Phoenix and Albuquerque offices. “New Mexico is a dynamic market with tremendous opportunity, and this investment reflects our commitment to serving clients where they do business while attracting exceptional talent. We’re excited to build on our strong regional presence and deepen our relationships throughout the state.”

Locally, Taft continues to grow, increasing its attorney headcount by 50 percent over the past year. Specializing in public finance and economic development, Taft’s Albuquerque attorneys serve as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, and underwriter’s counsel on billions of dollars in municipal and public financing projects nationwide.

“We’re proud to lead one of the Southwest’s premier public finance practices and Albuquerque has long been an important market for us,” said Jill Sweeney, a partner in the public finance group and Albuquerque office lead. “This new space supports the strength of our team and provides a foundation for continued growth as we help clients navigate complex development projects throughout New Mexico.”

Firmwide, Taft continues expansive growth across the nation. Following the completion of three mergers in 2025, Taft has more than 1,250 attorneys in 25 offices and projected revenues exceeding $1 billion.

The firm continues to invest in its national footprint, most recently opening its newly relocated Cincinnati office, with additional office expansions and relocations planned throughout 2026 and 2027.
