Taft Continues Growth With Litigation Laterals
Taft, one of the fastest-growing law firms in the nation, is pleased to announce that Mark Hurst and Kevin Imhof have recently joined the firm as part of its nationally recognized Commercial Litigation practice group. Located in Louisville, Kentucky, Mark and Kevin will continue to serve their broad client base.
Mark is a partner who brings nearly 25 years of experience to his practice. Honored with multiple recognitions on a national and regional level, Mark represents clients faced with complex commercial disputes, trusts and estate disputes, construction disputes, and fiduciary matters. From his practice in Louisville, Mark counsels clients ranging from small local businesses to Fortune 500 companies, and he has substantial experience handling cases and trials before state and federal courts, as well as arbitration panels.
Recognized as a leading practitioner in his field, Mark has consistently ranked among the Best Lawyers in America and Kentucky Super Lawyers for Commercial Litigation since 2014 and 2013, respectively. Mark is also active in the local community, having served as board chairman of the Zoom Group, a board member of the Actors Theatre, and a participant in Leadership Louisville.
Kevin is an experienced associate who works alongside Mark. He handles business litigation matters ranging from shareholder controversies and supply chain issues to breach of contract disputes and multi-party conflicts. Kevin also has expertise in handling complex fiduciary litigation cases and trust and estate disputes. He frequently represents corporate trustees and family members in disputes involving claims such as breach of fiduciary duty, undue influence, mental capacity, duress, and more.
Since 2023, Kevin has been honored as a Rising Star by Kentucky Super Lawyers.
Before joining Taft, Mark and Kevin practiced at a well-known regional law firm.
“We are thrilled to welcome Mark and Kevin. They are respected litigators with a track record of success in high-stakes cases. Mark and Kevin will complement Taft’s first-rate Litigation group while expanding our ability to serve clients in Kentucky and beyond,” said James Zimmerman, partner-in-charge of Taft’s Cincinnati office and member of the firm’s executive committee.
“Taft’s exceptional team and forward-looking strategy make it an ideal place to serve our clients,” said Hurst. “Kevin and I are eager to continue delivering results for our clients, now backed by the breadth and depth of experience from Taft’s 1,000+ attorneys.”
Through a series of strategic mergers in recent years, Taft has become one of the fastest-growing firms in the Am Law 100, with more than 1,000 attorneys spanning from the Mountain West region to Washington, D.C.
