Taft Climbs to No. 61 on 2026 Am Law 100

Taft, one of the country’s fastest-growing law firms, has been ranked No. 61 on the 2026 Am Law 100 as reported by The American Lawyer. The Am Law 100 is one of the legal industry’s most prestigious rankings, evaluating firms based on financial performance, including gross revenue and profitability.

Recognized as one of the “biggest movers” in this year’s Am Law 100, Taft increased its ranking by 18 spots following a nearly 50% increase in its 2025 gross revenue, which surpassed $1 billion for the first time with rising profits per partner of $1.267 million.

Taft’s ascent reflects its disciplined growth strategy, driven by a combination of strategic mergers and lateral additions. In 2025, Taft completed three mergers in the Mountain West, Florida, and Atlanta, and today has more than 1,250 attorneys across 25 offices and revenues exceeding $1 billion.

“We are proud of our continued momentum and the strength, consistency, and collaborative nature of our culture as we continue our expansion,” said Taft Firmwide Chairman and Managing Partner Robert J. Hicks. “Our focus, as always, remains on delivering exceptional service to our clients as we build the industry’s leading, national middle-market firm.”

With a growing roster of attorneys and an expanding national footprint, Taft recently launched an office in New York as it continues its upward trajectory among the nation’s leading law firms.
