CINCINNATI, OH – Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP is pleased to announce that Robert W. McDonald, an associate in the Business & Finance practice group in Taft’s Cincinnati Office, has been elected to the board of the Dan Beard Council, Boy Scouts of America. In addition, McDonald has been elected to chair the organization’s new Professional Leadership Network, designed to increase participation, awareness and exposure of young professionals in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky to Boy Scout activities.

The Dan Beard Council prepares youth to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Scouting provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.

McDonald focuses his legal practice on counseling companies regarding general business transactions, corporate governance, securities and SEC matters. He received his bachelor’s degree from Duke University and his law degree from Washington University School of Law. During his last term of law school, McDonald worked full-time in the Division of Enforcement at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. In addition to his involvement with the Boy Scouts of America, McDonald devotes time to the Big Brothers, Big Sisters organization.
