Taft Assists U.S. Client in Securing CFIUS Clearance for Sale Transaction to Japanese Company
Taft advised a U.S.-based graphite machining company in obtaining national security clearance from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) for its sale to a Japanese buyer. After conducting its review, CFIUS concluded that there were no unresolved national security concerns with respect to the transaction.
The CFIUS team was led by Taft partner Russell Menyhart, who leads the firm’s International Trade and National Security practice, and also included Thibault Vieilledent and Christine Walsh.
