Strain Recognized as a Distinguished Barrister by Indiana Lawyer
Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP is pleased to announce that James A. Strain has been recognized as a Distinguished Barrister by Indiana Lawyer. The Distinguished Barrister award honors members of the legal community who make meaningful contributions not only to the legal profession but also to their communities and beyond.
Strain is co-chair of Taft’s Business & Finance practice group and primarily practices in the areas of securities law, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. Prior to entering private practice in 1973, he clerked for then Associate Justice William H. Rehnquist, October Term 1972, and before that Judge John S. Hastings, then Senior Circuit Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, 1970-71. Between his clerkships, he was an associate with Cahill, Gordon & Reindel in New York City.
