Sokolowski to Speak at 2025 Christian Legal Society National Conference
Tommy B. Sokolowski, an environmental attorney in Taft’s Indianapolis office, will speak at the 2025 Christian Legal Society National Conference on Oct. 10, in New Orleans, La., during his session “American Eden: Understanding Environmental Law from its Roots.”
Sokolowski, whose practice centers on compliance under major federal statutes including the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and hazardous waste programs, will guide participants through the philosophical and historical foundations of Western environmental ethics. Connecting ancient Judeo-Christian principles and Aristotelian virtue ethics with the modern conservation movements of Aldo Leopold, Henry David Thoreau, John Muir, and Gifford Pinchot.
A magna cum laude graduate of the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Sokolowski has been recognized as an Indiana Super Lawyers Rising Star in Environmental Law and a Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch” honoree.
