Rob Bilott's work on the DuPont/C-8 case was cited in a paper presented at a  Law, Science and Environment Forum titled "A Meeting of the Minds" held at the Lewis & Clark School in Portland, Oregon on April 19-20.  Professor Thomas McGarity's paper, entitled "The Complementary Roles of Common Law Courts and Federal Agencies in Producing and Using Policy-Relevant Scientific Information," mentions Bilott's work on that case as an example of effective use of litigation to prompt regulatory and scientific change.
