Pomeranz Speaks at ABA Techshow 2025
Taft Partner Michael Pomeranz participated in a panel discussion during the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Techshow 2025, held in Chicago.
The panel discussed the use of Generative AI (GenAI) in legal writing. The panelists shared practical tips and recommended best practices for incorporating GenAI into writing. Joining Pomeranz on the panel were Nick Long (Jenner & Block) and Jacqueline Schafer (Clearbrief).
Pomeranz is a partner in Taft’s Commercial Litigation group. The heart of Pomeranz’s practice is complex commercial litigation on behalf of businesses, entrepreneurs, and tax-exempt organizations in industries like finance, health care, land use, and technology. Licensed in New York and Michigan, he has a national practice, with experience in state and federal trial courts (including business courts and bankruptcy courts) and appeals courts (including the U.S. Supreme Court). In addition to representing technology companies (in legal and other industries), Pomeranz maintains a keen interest in leveraging technology in legal practice. Pomeranz is part of Taft’s Technology and AI industry group (and quantum computing subgroup) and serves on both Taft’s Innovation and Technology Tools Committee and its Generative AI Working Group.
The ABA Techshow is an annual conference where lawyers, legal professionals, and technology come together. Attendees learn about the most useful and practical technologies available to practice more efficiently and serve clients more effectively. Hosted annually by the ABA’s Law Practice division, Techshow this year celebrated its fortieth anniversary.
