Paige Szymanski Named to Michigan Lawyers Weekly's Up & Coming Lawyers
Michigan Lawyers Weekly recently announced that associate Paige Szymanski has been named to the Up & Coming Lawyers Class of 2022. Jeffrey M. Weiss made the announcement.
The Up & Coming Lawyers program honors Michigan lawyers who exemplify excellence and ambition in their first 10 years of practice. These individuals go above and beyond to develop deep client relationships and provide truly outstanding legal service that sets them apart from their peers.
“Since joining the firm less than a year ago, Paige has proven to be an invaluable asset, not only to our litigation team, but to the firm at large,” Weiss said. “Her in depth knowledge of the securities industry, impressive ability to litigate and unwavering determination to find practical solutions to complex issues, Paige is demonstrating attributes of an experienced attorney, just a few years into her career. We are proud of Paige’s achievements up to this point and are eager to watch her thrive in the years ahead.”
Szymanski started as an associate in the Litigation practice group in 2021 and focuses on all aspects of securities disputes, complex commercial litigation, and employment discrimination claims—including discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. She has represented a wide range of clients, including automotive suppliers, investment entities, publicly traded companies, large corporations, closely-held businesses, and individuals through all phases of litigation. By 2021, Szymanski successfully completed ten commercial litigation trials and arbitrations, including multiple FINRA arbitrations, an impressive feat for even a seasoned attorney.
Szymanski’s impact on her community goes beyond her legal practice. She is the Vice Chair of the Madison Heights Human Relations & Equity Commission, which advises the City Council on programs, policies, and activities that promote positive human relations and equitable outcomes and opportunities for residents, particularly issues affecting minority communities within Madison Heights. She is also a member of the Young Catholic Professionals of Detroit, the Birmingham Racquet Club, Oakland County Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Bar Group, and State Bar of Michigan. In August 2021, Szymanski was recognized as one of “Michigan’s Rising Stars” by Super Lawyers®.
Szymanski graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in political science in 2013 before earning her J.D. with honors from Michigan State University College of Law in 2016. She then pursued a Master of Laws in securities and financial regulation from Georgetown University Law Center in 2017.
