Newsome Speaks at Women in Business Forum

Taft Cleveland associate Allison Smith Newsome recently spoke on a panel at the Women in Business Forum, part of Cleveland’s Tennis in the Land event. The forum discussed the impact that sports have on business development and was followed by a networking hour with female business leaders and professional players from the Women’s Tennis Association. Other panelists included June Taylor, chief performance and strategy officer of the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging; Lauren Turkisher, Chief Operating Officer of Ancora; and Shelly Cayette-Weston, executive vice president and chief commercial officer for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Newsome focuses her practice on the representation of hospitals, physician groups, and other health care organizations regarding the regulatory, transactional, and business aspects of health care law. Additionally, she assists banks in USD and foreign currency LIBOR remediation and closing SBA loans for commercial lenders.
