McDonald and McMahon to Speak at ACG Cincinnati Event on SPACs

Taft partners Rob McDonald and Art McMahon will speak at the ACG Cincinnati event titled “The SPAC-tacular State of IPOs” on March 17. McDonald will serve as the moderator and McMahon will be a panelist joined by Steve Edwards at RSM and Candice Turner at Grant Thornton. They will discuss the rise of Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs) as a capital raising alternative to IPOs.

McDonald serves as president-elect of ACG Cincinnati and is a trusted advisor to clients of varying sizes and industries. He counsels both public and private companies on matters ranging from day-to-day corporate matters to complex mergers and acquisitions, securities and venture capital work. McDonald also represents government entities, research institutions and sports franchises, partnering with their leaders to understand and achieve the organizations’ goals.

McMahon advises boards of directors and senior management of public companies on corporate governance and securities matters, including internal and governmental investigations, accounting restatements, FCPA and other anti-corruption matters, major business combinations, and compliance with SEC and stock exchange requirements. His practice also involves corporate finance transactions, including public and private offerings of debt and equity securities, and counseling companies in connection with general corporate and transactional matters.
