Madsen elected to Public Utilities Law Section of MSBA
Taft Minneapolis attorney Peter Madsen has been elected as a member of the Public Utilities Law Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association. This section’s purpose is to provide an informational forum for discussion of regulatory and other issues affecting public utilities as well as offer opportunities for continuing legal education.

Madsen focuses his practice on energy law and public utility regulation matters. Before joining Taft, he served as an assistant attorney general with the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he primarily focused on the energy industry and public utility regulatory matters before the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission, which included public utility rate cases, certificate of need proceedings, affiliated interest filings, and other regulatory matters.
