Legal news service Law360 recognized Taft Atlanta as a Regional Powerhouse in Georgia. Law360 revealed the winners of the competition in an August 21 article. The other honorees include King & Spalding, Eversheds Sutherland and Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton. Taft Atlanta was recognized for its significant client work and innovative culture, among other attributes.

“I do think that part of what makes us successful is that we’re not terribly set in our ways,” Law360 quoted Simon Malko as saying. “2022 was just an incredible year, with incredible clients. And we saw unprecedented demands for legal services. It was just firing on all cylinders.”

The article conveyed how the top firms adapted to change, replied on their specialties as demand for legal services grew and prioritized what their people needed. For example, it pointed out that Taft Atlanta is the first law firm in Atlanta to add a “wellness consultant” to the permanent staff.

“I think it signaled to our team that we care about them,” Malko told Law360. “It’s easy to talk about mental health. It’s hard to do something about it. You have to try to break down the stigma associated with seeking help.”
