Taft Columbus partner Caryn Kaufman was recently featured in the Smart Business Magazine article “Insight into what buyers are looking for in an acquisition,” published on Sept. 6.
The article discusses what M&A buyers look for in the current market and how sellers can get the most value out of a transaction. When asked what buyers are looking for, Kaufman responded it "depends on whether [the buyer] is targeting a company as a platform investment," or, "as an add-on to an existing platform investment." Kaufman also highlighted that preparation and having detailed information readily available will "make the difference between just selling the business and getting maximum value for it in a transaction."
