“We were thinking, along the lines of Groff, that the employer would have to show this financial, substantial increased cost, to decide whether to deny the accommodation,” said Mary Claire Smith. “But here, I thought it was interesting because the EEOC said the undue hardship analysis isn’t limited to considerations of financial cost.”
