Jenkins Joins Taft’s Litigation Group

Taft is pleased to welcome Sarah Jenkins as a partner in the firm’s Litigation practice group.

Jenkins is an experienced trial and appellate litigator with a focus on probate and trust-related disputes as well as complex commercial litigation. She has represented and advised a wide range of clients, including individuals, nonprofits, banks, financial institutions, and insurance companies.

Jenkins has litigated trust, probate, guardianship, and fiduciary disputes in state, federal, and appellate courts across the country. She is also the former chair of the Indiana State Bar Association’s Probate, Trust, and Real Property Section and has been instrumental in drafting multiple statutes in Indiana’s Probate, Trust, and Guardianship Codes. Her business litigation experience includes antitrust and real estate disputes as well as shareholder disputes, and cases involving breach of licensing/contract, fraudulent inducement, insurance coverage, and other business matters. She regularly advises foundations and non-profits across the country on their duties under the Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act (UPMIFA), and she serves as outside general counsel to one of the largest religious organizations in the State of Indiana.

She is a graduate of Indiana University – Bloomington and received her law degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, magna cum laude. Jenkins was a law clerk for the Hon. Paul D. Mathias, Indiana Court of Appeals, from 2006-2007. Prior to joining Taft, she was a partner at an AmLaw 50 law firm in Indianapolis.
