James Zimmerman, Taft Partner, Elected to Board of Trustees of the Greater Cincinnati Venture Association
Cincinnati, OH, October 13, 2008 – James M. Zimmerman, a partner at Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP, was recently elected to the Board of Trustees of the Greater Cincinnati Venture Association (GCVA). GCVA is a forum for bringing together people that share a vested interest in building a strong entrepreneurial community.
Zimmerman was tapped by the board for his involvement with the organization and the entrepreneurial and venture capital community. Initiatives during his upcoming term will focus on entrepreneurs and start-up opportunities that sustain the entrepreneurial culture in the region.
Zimmerman, a partner in the Business and Finance Department, focuses his practice on corporate and transactional matters. He was selected by Cincinnati Magazine as a Super Lawyers Rising Star and also to C-Change, the leadership development program for young professionals developed by the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. Zimmerman is a member of the American Bar Association’s Negotiated Acquisitions Subcommittee, and is listed in the 2007 edition of Marquis’ Who’s Who of Emerging Business Leaders.
