I Heart Mac & Cheese Franchisor Sanctioned After Taft Helps Secure Franchise Fraud Victory
The Indiana Securities Commissioner has issued a final order against Mac and Cheese Franchise Operations, LLC, franchisor of I Heart Mac and Cheese, finding multiple violations of the Indiana Franchise Act tied to allegedly misleading and materially deficient franchise disclosure documents provided to Indiana investors.
Taft represented franchisees Matt and Elizabeth Griffin in filing the initial complaint with the Indiana Securities Commission that led to the Commission conducting a thorough investigation of the franchise followed by a cease and desist, a final hearing, and a detailed 132-page order that among other things barred the franchisor from operating in Indiana.
Taft’s legal team included Josh Brown, Alex Glass, and Manny Herceg.
